IT Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Operations Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day infrastructure operations while serving as the operational linchpin for our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO 27001 compliance program. This dual‑focus role ensures our IT infrastructure is highly available, performant, and efficient, while also rigorously secured, controlled, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise IT operations specialists/engineers, providing coaching, task delegation, and performance management.
  • Oversee monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management of infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage, virtualization, cloud IaaS/PaaS).
  • Implement ITIL‑based processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management to minimize downtime and improve service quality.
  • Lead root cause analysis for major incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Manage infrastructure projects (migrations, upgrades, deployments) on time and within scope.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Act as primary IT Operations contact for Information Security, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Implement and monitor ISO 27001 Annex A controls relevant to IT Operations.
  • Lead technical response to ISMS audits, ensuring evidence collection and remediation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure secure configurations, vulnerability management, and patching.
  • Oversee access management reviews, privilege management, and log analysis.
  • Collaborate with HR, Safety, and Security teams to align operational security tools and compliance initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports on infrastructure health, compliance status, risks, and key metrics.

Qualifications

Must‑Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure management (systems, network, cloud).
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in an ISO 27001‑certified environment.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing and maintaining ISO 27001 Annex A controls.
  • Direct experience participating in and/or leading ISO 27001 audits.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL Foundations (certification preferred).
  • Technical expertise in at least three of: Windows/Linux Server, VMware/Hyper‑V, Cisco/Aruba Networking, Azure/AWS Cloud IaaS, Enterprise Storage, Backup & DR.
  • Excellent understanding of security principles: network security, encryption, identity & access management, vulnerability management.

Highly Desirable:

  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification/experience.
  • Formal Information Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
  • Cloud certifications (Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with SIEM tools, GRC platforms, and security hardening frameworks (CIS Benchmarks).
  • Proven project management skills.
